Disney Reveals New Avengers Campus Details at Disneyland Opening

California's Disneyland Resort is preparing its newest ride, the Avengers Campus.

The rides at Disney's California Adventure Park will place guests at the center of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and they're excited to share everything they envisioned for the ride with visitors this summer.
It will be a place where visitors can experience the story of these superheroes," said Dave Bushore, Disneyland's vice president, creative franchise and marketing. Marvel Studios in building Avengers Campus is not a task that can be done easily.

There's a lot of responsibility to this iconography," said Scot Drake, creative portfolio executive, Walt Disney Imagineering.

This place is all about living your superhero fantasy,” said Brent Strong, executive creative director, Walt Disney Imagineering. “You will be able to become a superhero.

When Avengers Campus opens this summer, Web Slingers: The Adventures of Spider-Man is sure to be the main attraction and will introduce visitors to a whole new technological experience that literally turns them into superheroes.

Visitors can visit the Worldwide Engineering Brigade or WEB, which is a workshop for young inventors like Peter Parker who want to develop innovative new technologies designed to empower a new generation of superheroes.

Among their creations are Spider-Bots, robots that can build anything a Super Hero needs.

At Avengers Campus, Peter Parker is on the WEB for a demonstration, but the demonstration goes awry.

The Spider-Bots are trapped in a replication loop, and it's up to the visitors to help Peter catch the evil bots. Visitors put on 3-D glasses and jump into the Web Slinger vehicle where they show off their newfound web-slinging powers.

In Web Slinger, visitors collect bots as they travel virtually through the Pym Test Kitchen, Avengers Headquarters, and The Collector's Fortress.

Elsewhere around the Avengers campus, visitors will find plenty of ways to interact with their favorite superheroes.

Ant-Man and The Wasp will appear at Disneyland Resort for the first time and save space for goodies in the Pym Test Kitchen where shrinking and evolving technology is used to create the perfect superhero snack.

Those looking to hone their superhero skills can look forward to the opportunity to train with the elite guards of Dora Milaje, Black Panther and Wakanda, and visitors more interested in the mystical arts can watch a demonstration on Doctor Strange's ride at the Sanctum.

Tony Stark will show off the new Iron Man Mark 80 armor, which he revealed for the first time at a Disney park, and he will welcome the heroes for photos.

Black Widow, Black Panther, Thor, Groot, Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain America, Captain Marvel and even villains like Loki can also be found on Avengers Campus. This is also the first time that visitors will have the opportunity to meet Taskmaster, who has a role in the upcoming “Black Widow” film.

Apart from enjoying food at the Pym Test Kitchen, visitors can also grab snacks on the Shawarma Palace and Terran Treats trains and there are a number of unique drinks at the Pym Tasting Lab.

For superheroes who need to pick up supplies for their next mission, WEB Suppliers has everything they need, including Spider-Bots to help. This eight-legged Spider-Bot is powered by a remote control and has a number of optional “upgrades” that can be purchased.

The Campus Supply Pod has all the logo gear guests need, including logo gear, hoodies and tees, headwear, drinkware and other supplies.
