If you are traveling with the children, there is a kids' club with activities, a playground, and a game room. The beachfront here is also excellent for children, as the water is quite calm.
The rooms and suites are elegant and boast huge bathrooms with separate showers and tubs. The look is Caribbean modern with neutral hues, marble floors, and sliding glass doors opening onto private patios or balconies.
Rooms have either ocean or mountain views, and even the most basic room class feels spacious. Choose from a king bed with a separate sleeper sofa or two double beds. There are also five suite types, each a different size. The Alexander Suite is extra spacious at more than 1,700 square feet.
The Four Seasons has lots of amenities to keep you busy during your stay. There are three swimming pools, tennis courts, a basketball court, and a well-equipped workout room. Open for more than 30 years now, Mount Nevis Hotel & Beach Club has a 17-acre plot in Round Hill Estate. The boutique resort's grounds served as a lime plantation in the early 1800s.
Today the grounds are beautifully maintained with expansive lawns, palm trees, and other foliage and views of the lush green mountains and the Caribbean Sea. Guests can explore the grounds on foot or bicycle.
The 4-star property has 44 rooms and suites in five two-story pavilions. The pavilions are attractive, with red-tiled roofs and fretwork balconies and patios. Because each pavilion has only eight rooms, the place feels exclusive and intimate.
The resort caters to couples and families alike. If you are traveling with kids, there are amenities designed just for your little ones, whether they are toddlers or teenagers. Families can also book connecting rooms at a discount with certain conditions. For instance, when a superior suite is booked for five nights or more a deluxe double can be booked at a 50 percent discount most times of the year.
Rooms and suites all have a colorful vibe, with color-coordinated pillows, drapes, and art. The open loft rooms are lovely, with modern décor, living and dining spaces, and even a kitchen. There is also a two-bedroom villa with a full kitchen, washer, and dryer and a screened-in patio.

Built on the grounds of an 18th-century sugar plantation (the sugar mill is still here), the resort has a secluded ambience. It is not, however, situated directly on a beach. But guests have access to the resort's private beach, which is a 15-minute drive away via a free shuttle service.
Accommodation is in a mix of uniquely decorated rooms and suites. The Garden Suite is a spacious, split-level affair with bamboo floors, a walk-in rainfall shower, and an open bedroom and sitting room. It also comes with a private gazebo surrounded by lush foliage and kitted out with an oversized couch.
Tamarind Villa is another excellent room choice. This chic two-bedroom cottage has high-beamed ceilings and wood floors. There are glass doors opening onto covered porches, a sun deck with lounge chairs, and a private plunge pool.

Bathrooms have walk-in showers.

Golden Rock Inn is set on 100 acres that slope down from Nevis Peak. It is not on the beach, but the grounds are lush and beautifully landscaped with tropical foliage, and there are sea views. The boutique property is on a renovated sugar estate from the early 1800s.
It has been lovingly restored by an artist couple, Helen and Brice Marden, from New York. The gardens and grounds are the work of Miami landscape architect Raymond Jungles.
There are just 11 rooms and private cottages, each with a unique look. These cater to a mix of couples and families. The Sugar Mill room occupies the two-story, restored 19th-century sugar mill tower, which is a central point of focus on the grounds. The master bedroom on the second floor has original curved gray brick walls and a colorfully dressed king bed. It is popular with families, as there are two twin beds with a sitting area and a bathroom on the first floor.
Honeymooners will love Paradise Cottage, which is the most romantic room on the grounds. In a stand-alone Caribbean stone house, it has a rich color palette, with bright, woven throw rugs and a large terrace with Windward Beach views surrounded by bamboo and avocado trees.
The house restaurant is called At The Rocks, and it sits atop jungle-clad hills with sea views. It serves Caribbean-meets-global fare, with lots of locally sourced ingredients. Other amenities at the Golden Rock Inn include a 50-foot spring-fed swimming pool, walking trails through the grounds, poolside yoga, and complimentary garden tours with the head gardener. Massage services can also be arranged on your room's patio.
To get around Nevis from this property it is a good idea to rent a car. Then you can explore the island's beaches and geothermal waters at Nevis Hot Springs. The hotel can also arrange excursions from snorkeling and diving trips to horseback riding.

A family-owned resort, Oualie Beach is a great mid-range choice that is right on the beach. The boutique resort has just 32 rooms. These are in single- or two-story gingerbread cottages that pay homage to Nevis' traditional Caribbean architecture. We love the blue and white exterior paint color scheme.
The cottages come in a few configurations with different sizes and amenities. The Premier cottage has a four-poster, canopied king bed, wood furnishings, tile floors, and a screened veranda or balcony with sea views.
The Studio cottage is a good choice if you want to cook some of your meals. It has a kitchen and can accommodate up to four people in a king bed and a pull-out sofa. It also has a screened-in veranda and beach views.
The house restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It has a relatively small menu, and many of the lunch and dinner choices overlap. The food is a mix of Caribbean and international fare and includes a few vegan selections, as well as three pasta dishes. Guests can also choose to book breakfast, half, and full-board meal plans for an all-inclusive experience.
Oualie Beach Resort is on its own stretch of sand, but it is also walking distance from Lovers Beach, which is where Prince Harry released sea turtles in a 2016 visit. The resort can arrange a variety of excursions around the island.
